China’s retail sales up 15.5% in 2009

China’s retail sales in 2009 rose 15.5 percent year-on-year to 12.53 trillion yuan, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Thursday.
Real (inflation-adjusted) retail sales growth was recorded at 16.9 percent in the year.

China’s annual tax revenue up 9% to $928 bln

China’s tax revenue reported an annual increase of 9.1 percent to 6.31 trillion yuan (928 billion U.S. dollars) last year, said a statement posted Friday on the website of the State Administration of Taxation.
