China Unicom adds 1.63 million users in Mar

China Unicom Ltd, the smaller one of China’s two mobile operators, said on Friday it added 1.63 million users in March and 1.49 million in February.
By last month end, its total subscribers amounted to 167 million, compared with 165 million by the end of February.

Ericsson inks US$1.44 bln GSM expansion deal with China

China to release telecom reorganization plan in H1 - report

The telecom industry restructuring plan is expected to be announced within the first half of the year, for implementation after the Olympic Games in August, the official Shanghai Securities News reported, citing sources close to the matter.
