Geely to buy bankrupt Australian parts supplier

Geely Automobile Holdings has agreed to buy the bankrupt Australia auto parts supplier Drivetrain System International, becoming the first Chinese auto maker to make an overseas acquisition during the financial crisis.

Chrysler to bring three new models to China in ‘09

Chrysler LLC will close its global manufacturing plants for one month from Dec.19 in response to the financial crisis, Chrysler said in an announcement released today.
