China’s October Car Sales Rise, First in Three Months

China’s passenger-car sales rose in October for the first time in three months after Beijing’s government eased traffic controls imposed during the August Olympic Games.
Sales of cars, sport-utility and multipurpose vehicles climbed 8.4 percent to 538,500 units, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.
