ZTE Corp<000063><763>, a leading telecommunications equipment manufacturer in China, launched the first 3G video call center in China, sources said.

As the first 3G video call center in China, ZTE has hired a group of professional customer service representatives, providing 15-hour excellent service everyday.

The 3G handset owners can dial the customer service hotline to consult representatives “face-to-face” about any problem or enquiry of the function and quality of the video service.

Earlier reports said Romania mobile operator Zapp has inked a new 3G contract with ZTE. Zapp plans to launch 3G commercial services in the country in the fourth quarter of this year and the network is expected to be completed by 2011.
