Nikko Hotel to open a 5-star hotel in Shanghai

Tokyo-based Nikko Hotels International, a brand under Japan Airline’s subsidiary JAL Hotels, will open a new five-star hotel in Shanghai, announced the company after announcing its plan to launch a hotel in Wuxi, a city in East China’s Jiangsu province.

The 25-floor hotel, located at Yunan West Road, is the main building of Manpo International Plaza developed by local large real estate developer Shanghai Yuchang Real Eastate Development Co. Ltd. It consists of 388 guestrooms, 300-square meter Japanese restaurant, bar, executive lounge, banquet rooms, meeting rooms, business center, fitness and spa facilities.

The new hotel in Shanghai will focus on the businessmen from Japanese firms and local middle or high-end customers said the hotel group.

NIkko Hotels International was operated by the sole Japanese-owned global hotel chain JAL hotels, which also runs Hotels JAL City. The group now has 64 hotels around the world, including six hotels in major Chinese cities, such as Beijing, Dalian, Tianjin, Hong Kong and Taipei.
