CLSA fund subscribes for Taiwan corporate bonds
CLSA Capital Partners (HK) Ltd said on Monday it had bought in US$30 million worth convertible bonds from Taiwan-based Fulltech Fiber Glass Corp.
CLSA Capital Partners (HK) currently owns 8 funds with total US$ 2.3 billion of assets under management.
The assets management company said the investment was made through its ARIA Investments Fund.
Miranda Tang, CLSA Capital Partner Managing Director, said in a statement that Fulltech Fiber’s extensive customer base was the main driving factor that the company decided to make this investment.
The fiberglass yarn manufacturer had a 6% share in the global market last year.
In early July, Fulltech Fiber had announced that it would issue up to NTD 1.48 billion unsecured convertible corporate bonds with a maturity of five years and an annual rate of 3.0% through private placement.
CLSA Capital Partners is the alternative asset management arm of CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets, a leading independent investment group in Asia.
