Chrysler inks US$400 mln export deal in China

Chrysler LLC, the third largest automaker in the U.S., signed an agreement with China Automobile Trading Co. Ltd to sell Jeep brand automobiles in China worth over US$400 million within the next two years, according to sources.

To meet the robust domestic demand, Chrysler introduced high-quality Jeep brand automobiles, such as Jeep-Wrangler, Jeep&Reg, Compass and Wrangler to replace locally manufactured automobiles since 2007.

Meanwhile, Chrysler took the lead in offering 3*3 after-services in China, namely, providing consumers with three-year free repair and road assistance services.

China Automobile Trading Co, as the general agent in Chinese market, will be responsible for the sale of Jeep brand vehicles.

During the first five months this year, the sale of imported Jeep series witnessed rapid growth over the same period last year.
