China’s Steel-product exports tumble

Steel-product exports from China, the world’s biggest producer of the alloy, fell 14 percent in December after tax barriers were raised to rein in shipments.

The nation exported 4.78 million metric tons of steel products last month, the customs office said yesterday in a statement on its Website.
