China’s domestic coal prices continued rising in Oct
The prices of thermal coal continued to rise in China in October, with high prices recorded in producing, transferring and consuming places.Further tightening of coal supply in Datong caused a 10 yuan/t of rise on the purchase price at coalyards in October. The tax-excluding price for thermal coal with calorific value above 5800 Kcal/kg at Datong reached 310-315 yuan/t by the end of October.
In key coal transferring places, the price kept rise at Qinhuangdao and Tianjin Ports in the first half of October, sustaining an upward trend started as early as late May this year.
