Hyundai’s China production to halt during Olympics

The Beijing Olympics will disrupt auto production at Hyundai Motor Co’s China unit for two months as the government restricts traffic to ease pollution during the games, a South Korea’s Maeil Business Newspaper said.
The traffic restrictions will disrupt the delivery of auto parts, the paper said, citing an unidentified Hyundai official.

Chery Auto plans IPO by year-end

Chery Automobile Co is preparing to go public before the end of this year at the latest, company Chairman said, according to the Economic Observer newspaper.
“We have had our IPO date postponed repeatedly amid share market gloom, but it will be come no later than the year-end,” Yin Tongyao said.
