Cisco teams up with China Mobile and CCB

CBC raises rates to battle inflation

The Central Bank of China (CBC) raised yesterday the key interest rates to a seven-year high and also boosted banks’ deposit reserve ratios in a bid to contain inflation.
CBC Governor Perng Fai-nan and his board increased the discount rate on loans to banks by 12.5 basis points to 3.625 percent as widely expected, effective today.

MOEA: 40% cap on investment to China to be relaxed shortly
