China’s economic growth forecast at more than 10% for Q1

A group of 14 research institutions jointly predicted over the weekend that China’s economic growth for the first quarter would be 10.4 percent to 10.5 percent, while the consumer price index (CPI) would be 6.8 percent to 7.1 percent.

Tiffany opens Tianjin store as Chinese precious metals prices soar

High-end jewellery firm Tiffany & Co. has opened a new outlet store in the northern port city of Tianjin just as gold and platinum prices are hitting new highs in China.
The 130-square-meter store is the fifth Tiffany outlet on the Chinese mainland. The previous four were located in Beijing and Shanghai.

Beijing Hyundai completes one millionth car

Beijing Hyundai produced its one millionth car on Friday, just over five years after it first began production.
The auto joint venture between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) was set up in November 2002 has been the fastest car maker in China to reach the one million-unit sales target.
