China’s largest-ever coal-fired power plant starts operation

China’s largest coal-fired power plant, a 2.1-billion-dollar complex supplying the energy-hungry east coast, has entered into operation, state media reported on Friday.
The four 1,000-megawatt generating units that make up the plant are located in east China’s Zhejiang province and operated by China Huaneng Group, one of the nation’s top energy producers, a news agency said.
