Sinopec to raise its gas output in Sichuan

Chinese shipbuilding company wins 61-mln-USD contract in Indonesia

THE Chinese shipbuilding company Jiangsu Eastern Shipyard has been awarded a contract to build two oil tankers worth 61.49 million U.S. dollars by Indonesia’s state-run oil firm Pertamina, an executive said Thursday.

China imports more synthetic rubber at higher prices

China imported 484,000 tons of synthetic rubber in the first four months of this year, a growth of 14.7 percent over the same period of last year, according to customs sources.
The imports were valued at 930 million U.S. dollars, up 26.3 percent. Prices of the arrivals averaged 1,924 U.S. dollars per ton, up 10.1 percent.
