China to spend 20 bln yuan on land consolidation

China will spend 20 billion yuan (2.6 billion U.S. dollars) on land consolidation this year, a senior official with the Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) said on Wednesday.

China approves sale of Midea Electric stake to Goldman Sachs

China’s Ministry of Commerce Thursday agreed in principle the sale of almost 76 million yuan-denominated Midea Electric shares to GS Capital Partners Aurum Holdings, a fully-owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group Inc, the Chinese home-appliance maker said on Friday.

China imports more synthetic rubber at higher prices

China imported 484,000 tons of synthetic rubber in the first four months of this year, a growth of 14.7 percent over the same period of last year, according to customs sources.
The imports were valued at 930 million U.S. dollars, up 26.3 percent. Prices of the arrivals averaged 1,924 U.S. dollars per ton, up 10.1 percent.
